Today's memory verse: Matthew 28:19 International Children's Bible
"So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit".

Questions and Answers about Baptism

What is baptism?
A way to show everyone that you have chosen to follow Jesus. You have made Him the leader of your life.
In water baptism, you step into a pool of water and your Pastor or Deacon lowers or dips you under the water and pulls you right back up. This reminds us that Jesus died, was buried and got back up/rose from the dead to wash away our sin.

Why should I be baptized?
Here are a few reasons to be baptized:
-
You want everyone to know that you believe in Jesus as Savior.
-
You are making a commitment or promise to following Jesus with your life even when it is hard.
-
Because Jesus was baptized.

When do I get baptized?
After you choose to believe in Jesus and make Him the leader of your life. See the ABCs of salvation.

Does baptism save me?
No, baptism does not save you or get you into heaven. Jesus is the only one who can forgive you of your sin and save you so that you can live in heaven forever. Remember that baptism is just a way to show others that you have made a choice to live for Jesus.
